We're back! The Ron Paul Institute is pleased to announce the second Ron Paul Scholars' Seminar. The first Seminar, held in 2019, was a great success and thanks to generous sponsors we are able to again welcome upper division undergraduate students and graduate students to participate in a day-long foreign affairs and national security "boot camp."
The Seminar will take place on September 3rd at the Dulles Airport Marriott in Dulles, VA. RPI 2021 Scholars will also be invited to attend the Ron Paul Institute's "The War on Us" conference the following day
This year's lecturers will include:
Dr. John Laughland: Former lecturer at the Sorbonne and at the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris. Prolific writer and author, including, A History of Political Trials from Charles I to Charles Taylor (Peter Lang, Oxford, 2nd edition, 2016).
Dr. Philip Giraldi: Retired operations officer and counterterrorism expert, US Central Intelligence Agency. Executive Director of the Council for the National Interest.
Mr. James Jatras: Former US Foreign Service Officer and foreign policy adviser to the US Senate Republican leadership.
Mr. James Bovard: Author of ten books, including Public Policy Hooligan, Attention Deficit Democracy, and Lost Rights: The Destruction of American Liberty. Member of the USA Today Board of Contributors, and contributing editor for American Conservative.
(Other guest speakers to be announced).
Successful applicants will understand that this is a program demanding a high level of independence and self-reliance. Scholars are expected to make their own travel and hotel arrangements and to pay for the meals not covered in the included events. The Ron Paul Institute will provide a $500 scholarship for each scholar to cover these costs.
Interested students are asked to fill out an application form and submit it by August 10th. Successful applicants will be notified by August 15th and will be expected to make travel plans very quickly.
There are only ten available places in this year’s program, so interested students should waste no time in applying.
Successful Ron Paul Scholars will be also expected to complete a minimum 500 word paper suitable for publication at the Ron Paul Institute website within one month of completing the seminar.
